Our organisation offers all a platform for meetings and cultural exchange between young people from different countries and cultures in the heart of Europe.

The importance and implementation of the idea with the formation of the Europa-Haus has become clearer in the expanded EU. The fundamental principle of this idea is a coming together of young people from different countries to a place where the exchange of information, the formation of independent visions and the opening of possibilities for study offers a chance for improved educational knowledge. The Europahaus will therefore in future make an important contribution to the further education of the individuals and furthermore to mutual understanding and growing together internationally.

On this basis we invite young people (approx. 18-28 years old) to the cultural city of Dresden to conferences, events and courses of a longer time period with language and culture teaching. Thus a fixed place will be established where the fusion of cultures and the discussion and presentation of different points of view will be possible.

The educational and exchange conference will provide a course for improving one?s knowledge of the German language, passing on information about the EU and presenting possibilities for continuing or restarting one?s studies in Germany.

In addition, another part of the program will be dedicated to the cultural exhibits and sights of the city and surroundings. In the remaining free time it will be possible to listen to presentations about current and classical topics and have discussions with local young people to particupate in intercultural exchange and perfect one's German.

This offer is specially sub-divided into 2 categories:

1. A course for advanced students: for a short stay with tuition, culture, discussions and excursions, where they will get to know the city of Dresden and other young people from different countries.

2. For beginners who wish to continue or further their studies in Germany, a longer stay of 12 months in total will be offered. This comprises a preparatory course for the Deutsche Sprachprüfung für den Hochschulzugang (DSH) (German language exam for admission to university) or the Test Deutsch als Fremdsprache (TestDaF) (German as a foreign language) . Both exams may be taken at the end of the course and satisfy the language requirements for entry to a German university.

The young people have the advantage of exploiting this offer of accommodation, supervision, education and study possibilities, discussion and free time, culture and new discoveries at a historical place in the middle of Europe. There are few comparable offers on the market today.

Therefore, a co-operation with all public bodies, state organs, scholarship funds, university departments and clubs is of great importance in supporting this project.
